BU Well is Butler University's open-access, multimedia, student-driven healthcare journal. Every year, one volume is published, each with a different theme. After launching a successful Volume 1 with a theme of "Wellness," we are looking forward to Volume 2.
BU Well publishes multimedia healthcare articles, which includes three different components:
- An article,
- An informational YouTube interview video vignette with the primary author of the article, and
- An infographic with the most important information from each article.
The video and infographic are created by students who are part of the BU Well editorial team once an article is accepted for publication.
We invite submissions of original and scholarly healthcare articles for publishing consideration from any geographic location, and at any level of healthcare: students, residents, faculty, healthcare professionals, and others.
Submissions will begin on a rolling basis for Volume 2 publication consideration on August 18, 2016. Volume 2 will be published in May, 2017. Any papers submitted after December 16, 2016. or earlier, if Volume 2 is full) will be considered for Volume 3 (2018). Further details about the guidelines for authors may be found on the Policies page.
BU Well was founded at Butler University in 2014 in order to provide students a curricular opportunity to write, publish and manage an editorial for an open-access healthcare journal prior to graduation, as writers are leaders of all professions, including healthcare.
