Abstract
The whole history is in man and may be explained from individual experience as a stately forest may be explained from one acorn of the weed patch from one seed. In history the collective experiences of man are united in a written record. These experiences are usually of a material nature but are influenced greatly by the unseen emotions which cannot so definitely be written, yet may be felt by the student of history.
