Description

Art is ubiquitous, created every day in multiple forms, and perceived individually. Music in particular has the ability to consume us, to move us, and to encourage us; the elements needed to spark a revolution. The artistry of music is a tremendously powerful aspect in fueling and maintaining a revolution because it creates a symbol for an idea that is internalized by many to inflame the passion for action. This paper discusses the metaphysics of rebellion and why music has, and will continue to trigger society's most significant revolutions.
