One of the available unconventional treatment methods includes electroconvulsive shock therapy, a technique that utilizes bouts of electricity to stimulate anti-depressive behaviors. Although its methods have been disputed for a long time, electroconvulsive shock therapy is a long-standing and effective treatment for depression.
