Abstract
This syllabus is the result of an effort to formulate a course of study to be used as a guide in the general music classes, elective music classes, and music clubs at Parkland Junior High School, Louisville, Kentucky, which is the type of junior high school that draws its pupils from varied school environments, public, private, and parochial and from homes that differ racially, socially, and culturally.
