Description

Sexually explicit material has grown in all areas of media: television, books, movies, and on the internet. In this study, sexually explicit material is any material that is used directly for the purpose of sexual arousal and we will be measuring the prevalence of sexually explicit material within a Christian campus. We will also be measuring the correlation between frequency of sexual explicit material and gender differences. The hypothesis would be that men would have a higher frequency than females and that the level of sexual material would be low due to high moral values. There are several variables that we will be using within our study: depth of faith in an individual, frequency of sexual material viewed, and relationship status of the individual that is completing survey, degree of sexual explicit material and finally, whether an addiction is present within each individual's situation. We hope to find not only how prevalent the use of sexual explicit material is within a Christian campus, but also whether the common belief that men view sexual material more frequently than females is based on facts or pure speculation.
