Abstract

In an article in the November 1974 Word Ways, Merlin X. Houdini explored and solved the problem of dividing an eight-letter word, ESTHONIA, into 35 different pairs of four-letter words, such as HENS and IOTA, using only Webster's Second Edition as a base of operations.
