Abstract
According to Dmitri Borgmann's "Language on Vacation," metallege is a psychological term which has been adapted by logology to describe word pairs such as SALVE and SLAVE, or SKATE and STAKE. Perhaps a more descriptive term would be letter-swap transposals.
