Abstract

Each group of letters below is a familiar word, phrase, name or title from which any sequence of consecutive letters of the alphabet (in order) inside it has been removed. The remaining letters are then run together. For example, NNION would represent the phrase STUDENT UNION (missing the STU, DE, and TU). The total number of letters in the original formulation appears in parentheses. How many can you reconstruct?
