Abstract
There are several barriers associated with the transport of siRNA to the target. These include catalytic enzymes, defense mechanisms, and other degradation processes. A number of studies showed that the polymeric nonviral vectors can be successfully used to target genes. Compared to the viral vectors, which possess a considerable risk of toxicity, nonviral vectors can be promising for gene delivery and their chemistry, toxicity, stability, and biodegradability can be modified to make them most suitable for gene delivery.
