Abstract
AFTER THE MERIDIAN: TIMES OF FUTURE PAST (1990) - is a 35:00 multi-movement piece commissioned for the 150th anniversary of the Greenwich (CT) Choral Society, and premiered in December 1990 by the Greenwich Choral Society, three NYC soloists (soprano, tenor and baritone), boy soprano, and the Greenwich Symphony Orchestra - all under the direction of the late, great Richard Vogt. "Victorian Silence: A Love Song" is Movement 4. Set with very a traditional, proper, nostalgic, old-fashioned musical etiquette, this passionate duet brings together two lovers who can never be together .... get your handkerchief ready.
