2014 Undergraduate Research Conference
Thank you for your interest in the twenty-sixth annual Undergraduate Research Conference at Butler University. Last year's silver anniversary featured nearly 500 undergraduate students from 45 different colleges and universities presenting their research in a wide variety of disciplines. Currently, there are over 500 presentations scheduled to be presented at this year's URC on April 11, 2014.
This year, we are featuring a slogan of "cultivating intellectual growth." We are also seeking to cultivate a spirit of resource conservation and sustainability, and we will be offering tours of some of our cutting-edge facilities to our conference guests. Our President Danko signed a climate commitment pledge in 2012, and we are proud to have LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification for our Pharmacy Building and the new Howard L. Schrott Center for the Arts. The Butler Farm is a leader in urban ecology education. Our conference will offer you the opportunity to help us preserve resources by giving you the option to download an online conference schedule application in lieu of a printed program book. Additionally, we are looking to dramatically reduce the use of bottled water at this year's event.
Another new feature will be a combined poster session, in which all of our poster presentations will be featured in a dedicated time slot without minimal conflicting oral presentation sessions. We have listened to your feedback and look forward to giving these students the attention and focus that they deserve.
We thank you for your attendance and participation in this year's conference.
