The goal of this project is to develop an alternative and cost-efficient methodology for the addition of a trifluoromethyl (CF3) group to various alkene reagents. Different compounds were utilized to initiate the formation of CF3. The scope and limitations on alkenes was then evaluated using the optimized conditions.
