Description
The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between exposure to sexual content in television shows and movies and level of comfort toward public displays of affection (PDA). Past research has found a correlation between high exposure rates to sexualized media and adolescents' decisions to engage in premarital sex. However, there is minimal research on the impact of sexualized media on an adult population, as well as level of comfort toward PDA. An online survey was utilized, asking participants their level of comfort toward PDA and the content of their daily media intake.
