Description
To understand the effects of Clothianidin, a neonicotinoid-based pesticide, serial dilution trials were preformed on sea anemones (Exaiptasia pallida). This research is a continuation of several other projects done by previous students. Previous research determined the initial effects Clothianidin had on Exaiptasia’s nervous system response time, this research shows the effects Clothianidin had on several dilution levels instead of exclusively on a standard solution. We were concerned with the potential effects this pesticide has on other populations—specifically extrapolating the link between a decline in bee populations. Results and conclusion to be added later, although a normal distribution curve is present about the acontia retraction time of the dilutions.
