Description
The purpose of this study is to analyze the relationship between traits of narcissistic personality disorder and the frequency of which individuals post selfies on Instagram. 100 randomly selected undergraduate ate students will participate in two surveys. One will be the Narcissistic Personality Inventory 16 (Ames et al., 2006), a condensed version of the NPI-40 (Raskin & Terry, 1988). A second survey, created by the researcher, will address social media usage frequency and request permission for the researcher to monitor the participant’s Instagram. Two hypotheses are 1) there is a positive correlation between the frequency of seflies posted and traits of narcissism and 2) females with high traits of narcissism will post more selfies than males with high traits of narcissism.
