Description

This research focused on the experiences of ethnic minority students at a midwestern university. Using in-depth interviews, a sample of minority students shared their experiences in the classroom, the dorms, and the social scene. The findings showed that students had a wide range of experiences regardless of their ethnic background. While most students did not face open racism and discrimination, an overwhelming majority of the sample had many experiences with subtler forms of racism and discrimination.
