Abstract
This research seeks to understand how to adapt to the needs of older adults in dance classes and answer the question, How can a dance curriculum be devised to increase social-emotional connection and well-being for senior adults? Utilizing autoethnographic research methods and qualitative surveys, this study followed residents at the Gracepoint Wellness Facility in Tampa, Florida, as they participated in sixteen weeks of dance classes that utilized Brain Compatible Dance Education methods.
