Description

As an artist currently pursuing a graduate degree in clinical psychology, I am interested in the human experience and the sharing of this experience. In the past, I have incorporated this theme into my works through small details and intricate backgrounds meant to convey a story. These personal stories have been composed of thoughts, histories, and outlooks that simultaneously cultivate an experience for people. More recently, through the pursuit of scholarship and clinical research, I have become increasingly concerned with the stigma associated with mental disorders. In consideration of my past work, I ventured to explore the similarities and differences in experience for those suffering from mental illness. This body of work culminated from the pursuit of this interest, along with research delving into other artistic endeavors such as materials, colors, and icons.
