Description
The amino-functionalization of representative hydrocarbons was conducted using a variety of imido-iodinanes (PhI=NSO2Ar) and a catalytic amount of iodine (I2). Differing electronic effects on the imido-iodinanes were tested. Attempts were made to isolate and test the reactivity of various diiodo nitrene precursors. The extent of successful hydrocarbon reactivity was partially investigated and progress will be reported.
