Description
This presentation will discuss how teachers can help English Language Learners transition into their classroom. Coming from a foreign country and moving into a new culture and new school where people don't speak the same language is a very difficult move, and one that many teachers will never understand. From a teacher's standpoint, what can be done to ease the difficulties for these students that will be in their classrooms? Creating a safe classroom and community for ELL students will be examined as well as supports that teachers can provide to students.
