Description
In response to the USSR's placement of missiles on the island of Cuba in October, 1962, the United States chose to blockade the island and demand that the missiles be removed. This decision was the outcome of consequence analysis and the combining and compromising of available options, which befit the Rational Actor and Government Politics models of government behavior, respectively.
