Description
This study will look into the Global Communication networks within the Middle East, with a particular focus on Iran. Rob Fenton, Akeira Jennings, Michael Potts and Bree Stitt will research and explore the attitudes, social trends and technological advancements that affect the development and consumption of communication devices in the region. We will look at past and present examples of global networks, in order to discuss Iran's future. With the recent Middle Eastern turmoil, this subject is highly significant, with the entire region's media usage, censorship and development under increased scrutiny. Iran's recent stance against social media will be used to contextualize the study in order to ensure it remains applicable to the modern day world. We will look at a series of research questions in order to fully observe the country's communication systems and discuss whether they offer an effective service, relating to the theme of a nation's development. The questions will form the basis of our research, though we will also outline the purpose, significance and methodology of our proposed study in greater detail before the summary of our findings.
