Description
Research suggests that person-environment fit increases success, productivity, and happiness. Consequently, many universities explore ways to make their campus and academic programs fit what students want in their college experience. The Strong Interest Inventory Profile (Strong) is widely used by career counselors to help guide students to a major that is a best fit for them. The goal of this study is to explore the connection between students' results on the Strong, their academic major, and their satisfaction with the college experience. A survey will be used to measure student satisfaction with their college major. The results of this study will be used to determine whether or not a match between major and the Strong profile predicts student satisfaction and success with their college experience.
