Description
Although many of the varieties of positive affect (e.g., happiness, awe, gratitude), have been investigated, one type that remains understudied is tranquility/serenity. Our work highlights this ‘flavor’ of positive affect. In the current, survey study, we will examine episodic salutary experiences (ESE), which refers to episodic feelings of inner peace or tranquility distinct from one’s usual state, and how they are related to physical health.
