Description

The current study looks at how campus size may play a role in the rates of depression on a college campus. It investigated if a large campus led to weaken social bonds, and if weak social bonds led to higher rates of depression. Participants took a survey that included multiple items to measure depressive symptoms, feelings of belonging, involvement, and their campus size. The results of this research are inconclusive as there was a very low response rate and no responses making it possible to run a comparison between a big school and a small school.
