Description
The effect of sexual content in television and film is a factor that has had and is currently having a desensitizing result on the young adult generation, as indicated by lowered inhibitions and fewer social restraints on such behavior. The factors that will be used in this study will be four subsets that include: behavior, attitude, language, and images containing or in relation to sexual content in television and film. The experiment will consist of surveys asking the desired population (young adults) to categorize how many tv shows that they consistently watch. The survey will pose questions about the population's perception of said content. Factors that will be observed will be frequency of television sexual content including innuendos and overt material. The main point of this study will be reached by measuring the audiences' recollection of their feelings of the observed sexual content and the impact it has on their daily lives. The perceived prevalence and perceived effect will be the final result.
