Description
Previous research indicates that investing into the lives of others can be exceptionally rewarding and can lead to a greater life satisfaction. It is the opinion of this researcher that motherhood is the ultimate form of investing into the lives of others. Therefore, the purpose of this research project it so examine whether or not there is a statistically significant difference in life satisfaction between students who are mothers and female students who are not. The participants will be led to believe that the purpose of the survey is to find a correlation between time spent watching television and how satisfied the participant currently is with his/her life in general. The participants will be asked a series of questions regarding television habits, their current view of how satisfied they are with their lives, and whether or not they feel that investing into the lives of others produces lasting joy or satisfaction with their lives. The participants will also be asked a series of demographic questions in order to examine whether or not there are differences between women of different genders or age groups. I predict that women who have experienced motherhood will have higher life satisfaction than non-mothers.
